Food and Beverage Manager 
We are looking for an honest and trustworthy Restaurant Manager to inspire and motivate our passionate team with style and a great sense of humour.
 
At least three years’ experience in restaurant management is required, and a sound understanding of revenue optimisation and achieving departmental objectives.   Must have great communication skills, confidence in engaging naturally with our guests and a passion for developing your team. Creative and forward thinking, you will play a prominent role in the operation of the restaurant and bar which is located in Chaguaramas Area.
 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Train, manage and assist the junior front of house team with the day today running of the restaurant, ensuring that all guests are satisfied
  • Assume joint responsibility for the day to day operations of the restaurant ensuring the junior team are working with efficiency with their conduct and practices
  • Liaise with the kitchen and understand the product, ensuring you relay the correct
  • information to the guest.
  • Manage drink orders, upselling where possible but in a tasteful manor
  • Take food orders ensuring clarity of those orders and any special requirement are made apparent to the chef/cook
  • Offer attentive service with a friendly approach that is not too intrusive
  • Ensure that all crockery, cutlery and tables are clean, polished and set out correctly for the guest’s arrival at the table
  • Manage the flow of orders, bookings and table turnaround to maximise the coverage of the restaurant.
  • Manage the email account associated with online bookings and general enquires
 
 
Qualifications / Job Requirements
  • Job Type: Full-time / shift system
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Required experience: Experience as Food and Beverage Manager – min 3 years
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • CXC Passes in Mathematics and English
  • Knowledge of a Point of Sale System
  • Salary to be discussed in line with experience
  • Due to our location access to your own transport is a definite advantage.
