Reservoir Engineer

Description


An experienced reservoir engineer is needed to work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams to optimize base production, progress the related project and evaluate future opportunities for growth.  This reservoir engineer will utilize their extensive skills and knowledge base to deliver technical evaluations and coach other team members.  The qualified candidate should have experience working as a reservoir engineer on assets throughout their lifecycle.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead subsurface engineering technical evaluations for the design and execution of the Development project and make technical and economic recommendations including the field development concept, production profiles, and design basis
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support maximization of the base asset value through reservoir management, production surveillance and optimization activities
  • Evaluate and progress growth opportunities for future investment in discovered resources and near-field exploration
  • Collaborate with the resource estimator to ensure reserves and contingent resource updates are consistent, timely and accurate.
  • Deliver life of asset plans and support the field opportunity assessment and budget activities
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other subsurface team members and ensure best practice is implemented by engaging with subsurface teams across the company
  • Present clear and concise summaries and interface with internal and external stakeholders



Experience / Skills and Qualifications:
  • B.S in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 12+ years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • 5+ years’ experience coaching and supervising team members
  • Must possess strong reservoir engineering skills and solid understanding of reservoir management, well operations, and geoscience to help optimize production and value
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in building and running numerical simulation models, network models and economics
  • Experience working conventional exploration or appraisal and producing assets is preferred
  • Strong integrator of information and analysis within and across teams
  • Proficiency in the use of various engineering software
