ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Assistant Operations Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and oversees the daily operations of all locations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for the general supervision of staff to ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures and foster Coop’s values of Speed, Quality, Convenience, Integrity and Honesty.
Responsibilities
- Ensure and enforce compliance to Company’s motor “Speed, Quality, Convenience and Customer Satisfaction”.
- Ensure all locations issues, complaints and requests are logged reported and followed up on to ensure minimum down time of the operations. This includes: Maintenance, Transports, Service, etc.
- Ensure all company’s assets are balanced and accounted for daily as necessary.
- Ensure your assigned locations does not exceed their assigned monthly budgets.
- Review daily stock reports and query any shortages / overages as necessary. Minimizing and holding teams accountable for wastages.
- Ensure all locations are equipped with the necessary tools, maintenance, supplies, forms etc. to manage its operations efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct daily visits at all locations to ensure quality assurance and policy compliance correcting and coaching staff on any shortcomings, as it relates to Wash & Dry procedures, Interior, Quality, Cleanliness of the location, Customer Service / Cashier interactions
- Liaise with Customers to ensure service satisfaction, addressing any complaints as they occur.
- Attend fortnightly meetings and report on location’s performance.
- Know and enforce the work system, rules and policies of the company.
- Monitor labor hours and chemical usage to minimize cost.
- Monitor inventory levels for efficient operations and account for usage.
- Complete and submit executive reports of the complete status of the branch, as well as immediate reports of accidents and inconveniences.
- Resolve matters relating to customers and subordinates in a timely manner, seek advice from support services (HR, Operations, Finance) as necessary.
- Address and document incidents of infractions/ non-compliance with Company policy and situations where employee recognition is warranted.
- Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members, and create effective strategies to increase productivity and performance.
- Prepare and deliver presentations/reports/briefs etc. as required.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Administration or Operations Management or related discipline from an accredited academic institution
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Operations in a managerial capacity
- Demonstrated track record of improving business/quality processes and managing costs
- Good knowledge of different business functions including Health and Safety
- Strong leadership qualities; ability to mentor and train employees
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of finance and accounting systems and procedures
- Highly organized, meticulous and detail oriented
- Superior work ethics
- Technical ability, basic knowledge of vehicles, tools and related equipment, computer literate with ability to use applicable software and applications
- Proactive and strategic nature
- Proficiency in Spanish is an asset
