Server & Architecture Cloud Administrator

Job Purpose
The jobholder ensures that all service level agreements (SLAs) for Information Technology backend support architecture across the organization are delivered according to specifications. This jobholder is responsible for all aspects of server and cloud administration including hardware/software and office systems, with a focus on systems security and disaster recovery. The incumbent will coordinate the planning, administration, and implementation of company-wide server systems and cloud infrastructure services in order to improve productivity, reliability, security and availability throughout both the business and plant systems.

The job holder will provide support to the Team Lead – Enterprise Architecture & Information Security Operations, and internal customers of the Company, as well as work with the relevant Vendors to achieve deliverables.  The incumbent is required to manage several expert areas, he/she must be systematic and equally knowledgeable in all the areas and must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and company officials.   This role may require at times extended hours and weekend work to ensure achievement of deliverables.       

Principal Accountabilities

• Administers the delivery of server systems and cloud services continuously ensuring 24/7 availability in order to guarantee that organizational requirements for support are met.  Ensures the implementation of lifecycle management of server systems, operating systems and associated cloud infrastructure hardware to ensure maximum performance.
• Implements systems and service management policies and procedures for cost effectiveness and operational efficiency.  Develops system configuration, authorization, implementation, enhancement/modification and documentation of policies and procedures to ensure that system integrity and appropriate security is maintained.
• Plans and coordinates installation of physical and virtual server systems and cloud infrastructure to ensure effective system availability to maximize business operations and user effectiveness.
• Oversees the management of certificates, security updates, cloud infrastructure and on premise connections, Office and enterprise applications and end point connections for cloud interactions and connectivity.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience

• A first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Services from a recognized, accredited institution and
• A minimum of five (5) years’ direct work experience in a server system, and networking service level management capacity with cloud technology experienceServer and cloud architecture and technology knowledge. Knowledge of cloud architecture and cloud systems connectivity. Experience in cloud infrastructure systems, inclusive of Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Vmware, Microsoft active directory services, Microsoft inTune products and Microsoft security products for end point devices.
• Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Microsoft operating environments, virtual and cloud infrastructures inclusive of Microsoft Azure, Data Lake, Data warehouse connectivity.
• Formal training and experience in computing and server management related fields, including server deployment and security, data systems and project management is critical, as evidenced by current Microsoft Administrator certificates or Microsoft Azure, Microsoft O365, Vmware certifications and other relevant training certifications in the Microsoft area.
