MTAC - Contract Accountable Manager (CAM)      

Department: Maintenance, Turnaround & Campaigns (MTAC)

Job Purpose

The MTAC - CAM provides overall contract management of assigned  long term Maintenance Service Contracts, in accordance with established company procedures and guidelines.

He/She ensures that maintenance service contracts are carried out in accordance with their technical, operational, and commercial terms and conditions, to achieve service deliverable objectives, and to meet stakeholder expectations and satisfaction.


Principal Accountabilities
  • Implements and manages the performance of assigned Maintenance Service Contracts to ensure high-quality, responsive, safe and reliable services.
  • Audits actual consumed resources against expended costs for assigned Maintenance Service Contracts to ensure that the Company continuously receives services in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Manages the approved Service Contract Drawdown Process to ensure timely job service cycle from service provider engagement to payment for the Maintenance Service Contract.
  • Evaluates and provides recommendations for improvements to ensure that the Maintenance Service Contracts are consistently aligned to emergent changes in the Company's needs and operating policies for the service area.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
  • A first degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Business Management, or equivalent, from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years practical working experience in maintenance/production operations in an industrial or process plant environment with responsibility for the development, management, and administration of maintenance and construction type contracts (particularly long-term service contracts).
OR
  • A Technician’s Diploma (MET, EEET,) or related discipline from a recognized, accredited institution.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ practical working experience in maintenance/production operations in an industrial or process plant environment of which at least three (3) years must be at a senior level with responsibility for the development, management, and administration of maintenance and construction type contracts (particularly long-term service contracts).
AND
  • Excellent working knowledge in the development of technical scope of works packages utilized in construction and maintenance type contracts.
  • Working knowledge in the basic principles of contract and industrial relations law and practices.
  • Good working knowledge of plant maintenance and repair practices for rotating equipment (pumps/compressors/turbines/fin fans) and static equipment (pressure vessels/heat exchangers/columns).
  • Working knowledge and experience in planning and scheduling industrial construction and maintenance type projects.
