Job Description Overview:

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales by providing technical expertise and support to our customers. You will work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, as well as to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions to customers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and support to customers throughout the sales process, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution design.
  2. Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, lead qualification, and proposal development.
  3. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs, and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their goals.
  4. Solution Design: Work closely with customers to design custom solutions that address their specific technical challenges and requirements.
  5. Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  6. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  7. Technical Training: Provide technical training and support to customers, partners, and internal teams as needed.
  8. Market Insights: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and inform product development efforts.
  9. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, technical guides, and case studies.
  10. Performance Tracking: Track and report on sales performance metrics, including pipeline development, opportunity progression, and revenue generation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical or sales role.
  • Valid Drivers Liscence and working vehicle
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of ICT principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of driving sales and achieving revenue targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the software industry, particularly in SaaS or cloud-based solutions.
  • Relevant certifications in ICT or sales, such as Fortinet, Cisco, HPE, Dell, or other relevant vendor training considered an asset.
