SCOPE OF SERVICES

Job Title: SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST

Department HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT

Duration Three (3) months

Location: Port of Spain

The Senior Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for:
  1. Assist the Chief Human Resource Officer with development and implementation of workforce plans for the Organisation.
  2. Develop and oversee the implementation of Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law, organizational standards and best practises.
  3. Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders on day-to-day activities associated with workforce planning and talent management in collaboration with CHRO.
  4. Assist the CHRO in the development and implementation of action plans and strategies for HR activities.
  5. Prepare draft job descriptions in collaboration with Department Heads and submit to the CHRO for review and approval.
  6. Provide support to CHRO on the management of ongoing HR projects as required.
  7. Assist the CHRO with other human resource related activities as required.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field with a specialization in Human Resources.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • At least seven (7) years of progressive human resource experience. • Sound knowledge of the functional areas of human resource management inclusive of workforce planning and talent management.
  • Sound knowledge of written advocacy, policy and procedure drafting. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite and Human Resource Management Software (HRMS). Or
  • Any other combination of qualifications and experience will be considered.
