Job Title: SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST
Department HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Duration Three (3) months
Location: Port of Spain
The Senior Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for:
- Assist the Chief Human Resource Officer with development and implementation of workforce plans for the Organisation.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law, organizational standards and best practises.
- Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders on day-to-day activities associated with workforce planning and talent management in collaboration with CHRO.
- Assist the CHRO in the development and implementation of action plans and strategies for HR activities.
- Prepare draft job descriptions in collaboration with Department Heads and submit to the CHRO for review and approval.
- Provide support to CHRO on the management of ongoing HR projects as required.
- Assist the CHRO with other human resource related activities as required.
Minimum qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field with a specialization in Human Resources.
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least seven (7) years of progressive human resource experience. • Sound knowledge of the functional areas of human resource management inclusive of workforce planning and talent management.
- Sound knowledge of written advocacy, policy and procedure drafting. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite and Human Resource Management Software (HRMS). Or
- Any other combination of qualifications and experience will be considered.
