POSITION SUMMARY
The Brand Manager supports the achievement of market growth strategy, serving as the point-person for developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for the product brands of Tissues Limited. These initiatives and activities include campaigns (print, web, social media, etc.), events, corporate responsibility programs and sponsorships. The incumbent continuously monitors marketing trends and paying close attention to competitive products in the Local and Export marketplace and oversees advertising and marketing activities to ensure the right message is delivered for all the company’s product lines. This position will manage specific consumer brands as well as the institutional TTL brand. 

RESPONSIBILITES
  1. Continuously monitor marketing trends, paying close attention to competitive products in the marketplace.  Analyze market to assess the potential for new products. 
  2. Conduct thorough research of consumer markets and identify potential areas in which to allocate company resources, based upon consumer needs and spending habits.  This will include working with 3rd party Market Research companies to build and review the questionnaire tool. 
  3. Develop custom brand management plans for each product and submit monthly updated summaries on brand exposure to management.
  4. Create or develop names for new and existing products, generate ideas for new packaging designs, including shape, size, colours, fonts and imagery. 
  5. Oversee the production and campaign execution of media advertising including, television, newspaper and magazine advertisements, direct mail packs, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, road shows / sponsorship, and liaise with art designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers and utilize budget efficiently.  This includes working with both external agencies and internal graphic artist.
  6. Work with Teams to develop and present brand strategies, innovation tool kits, brand budgets and other presentations to Local and Export customers / partners.  
  7. Assist with consumer event planning and attend events as required.
  8. Assist in building brand budgets by identifying potential areas in which to allocate company resources, based upon consumer needs and spending habits. 
  9. Work with internal departments: Production, Supply Chain and Quality when necessary to develop and launch new products, competitor analysis, packaging designs and product changes.
  10. Work with Trade Marketing and Sales Teams to review and design promotional strategies to drive incremental sales and achieve sales targets.    
  11. Prepare JBP, Commercial Brand Plans, quarterly presentations and other presentations as required. 
  12. Liaise with 3rd party counsels to assist with brand registration and uploading of certificates onto internal programs.  
  13. Occasional travel to main markets as requested to roll out marketing plans, execute trade visits and launch new products.
  14. Participate in the development and facilitation of special projects as needed. 
  15. Participate in sales, administrative, departmental, and store level meetings as required.
  16. Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS). 
  17. Perform any other tasks assigned by Marketing Manager.
 
EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management or any other related discipline from a recognized institution.
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum five (5) years professional marketing experience in brand or product management and category management.
  • Solid understanding of and experience in future product concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data.
  • An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends.
