POSITION SUMMARY
Develops Trinidad Tissues Limited’s business within assigned Local Distributors. The incumbent will work with Local Distributors to increase sales revenue, market share and gross margin as established in the annual Business Plan. The incumbent, together with Distributors, will also work with key clients to maximize the business opportunities, and will manage contractual obligations between the Company and Local Distributors.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Achieve the sales objectives and gross margin in accordance with budget/plans.
- Ensure implementation of the established distributor development business plans with the Distributors and the Company’s Sales & Marketing Department.
- Plan trade activities for the channels and implement with the local Distributors.
- Calculate Advertising and Promotions (A&P) claims for local Distributors.
- Execute trade visits to highlight opportunities and audit of Distributor’s performance.
- Update Pricing Analysis Report from pricing gathered through trade visits and Distributor information.
- Provide each Distributor with the appropriate materials, plans and necessary support to achieve the established plans.
- Ensure Distributors receive the appropriate support for promotional activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with large customers.
- Provide up-to-date market information to the Sales & Marketing Department for analysis and decision making, including market conditions, trends and competitor analysis.
- Provide support to marketing activities, such as development of consumer in-store promotions, coordinate and participate in customer promotional activities and events.
- Track and evaluate the Distributor’s performance on a monthly basis and drive improvements to ensure maximum performance.
- Identify distribution, sales and marketing needs and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Train and guide the Distributor Sales and Marketing Teams on the Company’s products when required.
- Support the efficient flow of purchase orders.
- Liaise with the Finance Department in providing support to the Distributor or final customer and make recommendations when required.
- Support credits and collection (accounts receivable) efforts.
- Fulfil all other corporate requirements, e.g. monthly reporting, meetings and potential businesses when required.
- Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management or any other related discipline from a recognized institution.
- An MBA in Business Management or equivalent will be an asset.
- Capability in verbal and written communication in Spanish will be an asset.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales/distribution management (preferably in Trinidad & Tobago) with at least two (2) in the FMCG industry.
- Experience in the paper industry will be an asset.
