Location: San Fernando, Chaguanas & Arima

Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Achieves assigned productivity targets for the in-force individual life policy count.
  • Follows-up leads provided by the Business Units.
  • Sources new clients and develops personal portfolio by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
  • Interviews prospective clients to assess insurance needs and to sell products and/or services.
  • Explains features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans..
  • Contacts clients to deliver and explain policies and to suggest coverage amendments.
  • Collects and remits first premiums on policies sold, consistent with Cash Receipting Policy.

Job Requirements:
  • Five (5) C.X.C. passes, inclusive of Mathematics and English.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a sales environment.
  • At least two (2) years’ work experience in the financial services sector would be an asset.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to quickly recover from and manage rejection in the sales process.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to build relationships to positively impact the sales process
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
