Cardiovascular Purchasing & Inventory Specialist

Description


Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in inventory management, purchase order fulfilment, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment for the Cardiology procedural areas and associated storage areas.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Create and  review  par levels  and  periodic inventory usage reports.
  • Create submit purchase orders for inventory replenishment.
  • Sustains processes for daily/weekly/monthly/annual cycle counts.
  • Ensures accuracy of all on-hand inventory levels  in various systems.
  • Manages expiring  inventory, and  responsible for item  returns.
  • Work with Operations Manager to assess procedural volume trends.
  • Communicate with vendors to stay apprised of supply  chain  issues,
  • Communicate e ectively with stakeholders regarding inventory issues
  • Proactively ensure that Physician inventory needs are  being  met.
  • Accurately oversee and  manage the  inventory management modules of all company utilized software.

Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistic  or Inventory.
  • 3-5 years related work experience required.
  • Experience in an operational or health care  setting with materials management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory software systems such  as SAP or medical equivalent
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which  may include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other web-based applications. Can produce complex reports, perform analysis and maintain databases.

Competencies:
  • Ability to make decisions guided by precedents, policies and objectives.
  • Ability to address problems requiring innovative solutions
  • Ability to set goals  and  accomplish defined results with some guidelines.
  • Must be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to learn and comprehend complex material specifications.
  • Ability to be a team player  and  sometimes team leader for small projects.
  • Must provide a high level of customer service to all internal customers

Physical Nature of the Job:
Medium  work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
