Inventory/ Storage Coordinator
 
The Warehouse Supervisor is required to:
  1. Ensure all goods are properly stored in its appropriate place.
  2. Receive and deliver all equipment that comes into the Warehouse, both Sales and AV stock.
  3. Ensure all equipment and supply items are maintained at appropriate inventory levels in warehouse necessary to handle business operations.
  4. Dispatch technical crews for the job, with relevant paperwork.
  5. Allocate equipment for proper dispatching of technical crews.
  6. Maintain and keep clean all storage areas and keep proper inventory records.
  7. Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
  8. Check to ensure that all equipment is returned by work crews in good condition
  9. Advise Management when equipment is not returned or are returned in a damaged condition on the same day
  10. Refer damaged equipment to relevant technician for repair or replacement
  11. Record maintenance for repaired equipment.
  12. Report any problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor.
  13. Assist with the driving of vehicles when required.
  14. Any other tasks deemed necessary to ensure the warehouse is keep in an orderly clean manner.
  15. Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs; assist in the bid process for various supplies as required.
  16. Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employee; assign workloads to warehouse attendant.
  17. Comply with the OSH act to ensure health and safety policies and procedures are always maintained.
  18. Analyze safety risks and if necessary, the use of P.P.E shall be used.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures. 
  • Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
  • Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology. 
  • Space utilization and inventory techniques.
  • Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Health and safety regulations.
  • Record-keeping techniques.
  • Inventory methods and practices.
  • Principles and practices of training and providing work direction.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
ABILITY TO:
  • Plan, organize, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the warehouse.
  • Utilize space efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles, machines and equipment.
  • Receive, issue, store and return warehouse stock and supplies.
  • Lift, move, sort and store objects.
  • Assist with technicians and allocate equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock transactions.
  • Work independently with little direction. 
  • Observe health and safety regulations.
  • Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
  •  Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Minimum of five (5) GCE or CXC O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English.
  2. Proficient in Computer Applications including MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. A minimum of three (3) years working experience as Stores Management or similar capacity.
  5. Basic Electrical and/or Electronics. 
WORKING HOURS
  1. To open the warehouse at 5 a.m. each day, or when the first crew arrives at warehouse.
