Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) across the organization.  The position is required to recommend improvements and continuously monitor the effectiveness of the (QMS) and is expected to work closely with the CEO on all projects. 
 
Major Contributing Activities:
  1. Accountable for ensuring that the school’s Quality Management System (QMS) is relevant and adheres to all legal requirements. Ensure the implementation of corrective action to support and strengthen the (QMS).
  2. Ensure the Quality Manual and Handbook for Operating Procedures is kept relevant and updated.
  3. Prepare all submissions of registration, re-registration, certification, re-certification and accreditation with local and foreign quality assurance agencies, institutions and awarding bodies. This will include conducting internal quality audits to assess conformance and compliance and also internal verification responsibilities as required.
  4. Prepare and submit annual reports to all accreditation and awarding bodies (local and foreign) in a timely manner.  Annual Reports detailing the performance of KSPTL.
  5. Administration, record keeping and communication of student, staff and client feedback/evaluation surveys to be done once approved by CEO.
  6. Provide support to the CEO and team in developing and implementing accurate processes, aimed at improving existing practices and procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate records which includes filing of all documentation submitted for provider registration, program accreditation, registration of qualifications and quality audits in relation to registration/certification processes.  (Physical, Electronic and on SharePoint Microsoft Program) to be kept at all times.
  8. Preparation of Audit - Communicate clearly to members of staff and internal stakeholders the requirements of registration, accreditation of programs, registration of qualifications and quality audits.  This will include posting changes to computerized and manual records, release documents and notify affected departments.
  9. Represent the school at meetings and conferences of quality assurance agencies and institutions.  Submit report to CEO on the meeting.
  10. Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and participate in all meetings once requested.
  11. Conduct continuous desktop research and any other research requested by the CEO.
  12. Benchmarking studies on industry trends, comparable pricing of programs in the postsecondary and tertiary education market, new program offerings, international best practice and marketing of technical education programs.
 
Capabilities:
 
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Media & Communications or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of Quality Management Systems.
 
Knowledge/ Competencies:
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify needs and match them with appropriate solutions;
  • Organizational and project management skills;
  • Sound analytical skills
