Position Profile
The Head Human Resources (HR) must be a dynamic and experienced professional with  strong results orientation, demonstrated ability to develop and execute  human resource strategy within the Public Service.
 
The Head HR will oversee the company’s HR plans in ways that support the Government’s Agenda and the Company’s mission and overall strategy. The Head HR works to integrate people into the full scope of business operations evaluating how the impact of human capital benefits the overall organization. This position has high accountability and reports directly to the CEO. The goal is to promote the role of strategic HR and ensure the long-term success of both HR and the organization as a whole.
 
Attributes of the desired candidate
The ideal candidate must have attained the following attributes:
 
  • BSc in Management, specializing in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • Master’s Degree in H.R. Management or Organisational and Business Psychology. 
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, marketing, business or related field will be an asset.
  • He/She must have extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and legislation related to the various functional areas of Human Resource Management (HRM), in-depth knowledge of Industrial Relations (IR), a track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associates and stakeholders and an understsanding of HR Analytics.
 
Evaluation of Candidates
Candidates would be evaluated on the technical and behavioural competencies required for the position including HRM strategy, advising managers on complex HRM and IR issues, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and stakeholders, conflict management and resolution, and communication skills.
