Rigging Department Manager 

The responsibility of the Rigging Department Manager is to manage the overall operations of this department for Superior Rigging and Testing, overseeing technicians & assisting in the certification of rigging gear for the purpose of meeting customer requirements, completing work orders in a timely manner, assisting with Load Testing operations, ensuring availability and functionality of required tools/consumables to complete the jobs.

The position requires that the individual:
  • Be trained by a recognized certification body (i.e. North Sea Lifting (NSL), LEEA etc.) to inspect and certify for use, rigging gear such as wire rope slings, polyester slings, pulleys, lanyards, safety harnesses, shackles etc.
  • Carry the following NDT certifications – MPT & PT
  • Ensure inspection compliance with most current international standards & recognized customer inspection criteria & assist in updating internal SRTL procedures to reflect current international standards & inspection practices.
  • Have the ability to function professionally in a fast-paced work environment & have strong communication skills to coordinate requests from customers with an in-house team of assistants. 
  • Possess experience in basic data analysis software, Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to generate reports based on job requirements.
