Supervises:
Management Team – Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Training & Development, Production, IT, Facilities, Procurement.
The CEO should be a proven leader with a strategic point of view who is capable of assessing organisational realities, establishing strategic direction, and developing supporting strategies and structures. He/She will be required to provide strategic and operational leadership that ensures the Company develops and successfully implements plans and initiatives that empower community based artisans and creates entrepreneurs contributing to the country’s export and diversification thrust through the facilitation of a structured and export-oriented local craft industry. The CEO will ensure that the Company provides the support for this local craft industry by facilitating: continuous and relevant research on market demand and training needs; human resource development of the local craftsman including craft, entrepreneurship, production and export-oriented training; and a performance driven organisational culture and infrastructure.
The CEO represents the Company at public sector and private sector activities. Therefore, candidates must also possess strong communication and negotiation skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders such as Department Managers, Marketing Staff, Partners, Government Agencies, Artisans and the General Public.
Vision/Strategy Development and Execution
a. Lead the development, implementation and continuous review of all strategic plans and initiatives driven by the contextual environment and Board Mandates.
b. Ensure the management team is focused on the achievement of strategic deliverables
c. Provide proactive advice and guidance to the Board of Directors on critical and relevant changes in the external environment

a. Ensure the consistent research, identification and maximisation of opportunities for the Company’s operations across the board, with the aim of increasing effectiveness and efficiency
b. Ensure the appropriate assets, tools and equipment are efficiently procured, managed and utilised to improve human resource productivity and operational efficiency in all departments
c. Ensure the development and implementation of talent management plans for all areas in the Company that aim to optimise talent and human resource potential and performance
d. Lead the development and implementation of systems that ensure continuous year on year improvement in the Company’s operational performance

b. Build and sustain value-adding relationships with key stakeholders in the Craft Industry, and Manufacturing and Production Sectors.
c. Provide the Board of Directors with monthly status reports and detailed quarterly financial reports.

a. Ensure the development and implementation of appropriate and fiscally responsible budgets for all areas in the organisation

Minimum Qualification and Experience
Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Economics, Entrepreneurship or any related field of study.
Experience:
- At least three (3) years experience as a Chief Executive Officer
- At least 10 years’ experience at a senior managerial level preferably as an executive or related management level in a similar organisation (State Enterprise)
- Experience in an export-oriented or production-oriented environment.will be considered an asset.
- Any relevant combination of qualifications and experience shall be considered.
- A proven track record of successfully leading the achievement of Strategic KPIs in a challenging environment.
Specialized knowledge in the following areas would be an asset:
