Job Summary:
 
This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating human resource management activities of the organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.  This position focuses on the day-to-day operations of employment and placement; compensation and benefits; training and development; and labor relations. This position also oversees the human resources department's own budget.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  1. Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.
  2. Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotions, and employee benefits.
  3. Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, dismissals, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  4. Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  5. Maintain the Company buildings to meet the requirements of OSHA.
  6. Investigates, documents, and submits claims to insurance company on issues regarding theft within the organization or robbery on the trade.
  7. Responsible for the Security on the premises, and ensuring that we have the proper security man power for overtime allowances, containers, etc. Also, approve security bills for payment, ensuring that the security company has met the requirements of the contract.
  8. Maintain offices – ensuring that there is proper lighting, plumbing is functional, office supplies ordered for new departments or employees, ducting maintained, fire alarm/building alarms serviced, extinguishers and other safety equipment serviced timely etc.
  9. Assist in Payroll, by providing the necessary information with regards to new employment, raises, promotions, deductions, vacation payments or leave, absenteeism, loans etc.
  10. Identify need for new policy or amendment to existing policies – communicate those policy changes to staff.
  11. Advise Management on minimizing risk on industrial relations issues.
  12. Assist Managers with Performance reviews of staff.
  13. Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
  14. Assist the overall operations of the Company.


Qualifications / Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Management
  • Minimum of three (3) years management experience.
