Sales Representative & Merchandiser
  • Food and Beverage Sales (Fast Moving Consumer Goods)

  • Salary – Base plus commission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Main goal – To find new customers and to build long lasting customer relationships
  • Successful sale and placement of all products
  • Develop new business and maintain effective customer relationships to promote the
  • company
  • Meeting revenue, GP, customer calls targets and other such deliverables
  • Identify accounts that are not currently customers, develop and execute in conjunction with the sales manager a plan to establish distribution of products
  • Build solid relationships and provide exemplary customer service with all customers
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends
  • Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures
  • Effective accounts receivable collections within corporate policy
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding payment, credit, delivery, product information and other inquiries as they arise
  • Maintain proper checks and balances as pertains to stock and days sales proceeds
  • Execute monthly goals as related to business activities
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager on sales forecasting and development of strategic and tactical trade sales execution and activation plans
  • Robust customer relationship building.
  • Ensuring that the customer is aware of Jazco’s full product portfolio, promotions, policies and procedures, receivables status, stock availability
  • Complete and submit daily Call Reporting as per agreed KPIs
  • Daily customer checks ins by phone and in person
  • Checking customers current stock levels and predict when they will need to restock
  • Enrol new customers and increase transaction count for new and existing customers
  • Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Report and provide feedback to management on trade activity, shelf space, customer feedback, quality issues as well as competitive activity – similar type information as mentioned
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Completes all necessary paperwork that pertains to the position
  • Performs other duties for the benefit of the Company as required
  • Promotes and adheres to all Company Rules and Safety Laws where applicable
  • Active participation in Health and Safety programs
 
Qualifications & Requirements
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
  • Minimum of 5 CSEC Subject passes inclusive of Mathematics and English A
  • At least 2 years of sales experience
  • Sales experience in or an understanding in Fast Moving Consumer Goods Products
  • Sales Training is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
  • Excellent customer relation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to process information and merchandise
  • Ability to neatly pack and maintain shelf stock
  • Knowledge of grocery, pharmacy, and restaurant purchasers and purchasing process a plus
  • Ability to communicate with General Manager, Sales Supervisor, Company Sales Representatives, current and prospective customers on a professional level

Special Requirements:
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays or weekends, whenever necessary
  • Always on call to assist clients
