JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance of Serge Island Farms. This includes overseeing all aspects of the farm operations, ensuring product quality, implementing best practices in agriculture, and driving growth while maintaining a sustainable and environmentally friendly focus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute the strategic plan for Serge Island Farms, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee daily operations of the farm, ensuring the efficient use of resources and adherence to production schedules.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on key metrics to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Lead and mentor the management team and staff to foster a productive work environment that encourages high performance.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications and expectations.
• Drive innovation in farming techniques and operations to enhance productivity and sustainability.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and government agencies to support farm initiatives.
• Prepare regular reports on operational performance and strategic initiatives to be presented to the executive team.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability throughout the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and farm management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
