KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTARGETS: The Sales & Brand Champion is expected to assist Sales Representatives to close their Sales, train relevant staff on new products and their applicability to specific markets, as well as meeting their own sales and revenue targets by acquiring clients themselves.
REVENUE TARGETS – For the Sales & Brand Champion the revenue target (the unit sales quantity in dollars required to meet an earnings goal) is broken down into two parts:
- Percentage Revenue earned from SMB per quarter
- Percentage Revenue earned from Government/Large Corporations/Academia
DEVELOPMENT TARGETS – The Sales & Brand Champion is expected to develop new relationships with new clients to grow MBC’s Lenovo Business as well as the “retail brand”. This target will be measured by:
- Developing a minimum of three(3) new major (key) customer account each quarter
- Developing a minimum of five (5) SMB accounts each quarter with regard to the Lenovo Brand
- Training Staff on retail brand and it’s uses
- Training retail staff on how to sell the retail products
- Putting the brand on Facebook and developing a following
- Working with the retail store manager on marketing activities
- Detecting and Following up on leads
- Bidding on jobs
- Revenue
Customer list may be comprised of inherited customers but the Sales & Brand Champion must build a pipeline of new customer leads through cold calling, referrals etc.
The Sales & Brand Champion’s focus should be split 50/50 between the Lenovo Brand and the “retail brand” for the first six months, and thereafter 60% of the focus should be revised and it is anticipated to be on developing the Lenovo brand and 40% on the “retail brand”.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRAND: to develop “something” customers immediately identify with MBC, the Lenovo Brand and the “retail brand”, something that sets this business apart from its competition, something that positions this business in its niche in the marketplace. The Sales & Brand Champion’s focus should be split 50/50 between the “retail brand” and the Lenovo Brand for the first six months and thereafter 40% of the focus should be placed on developing the “retail brand” and 60% on growing the Lenovo Brand.
This has two areas of focus:
- MARKETING - The Sales & Brand Champion is expected to develop and host a minimum of one (1) major marketing/ branding event per quarter and to develop ideas to promote the brand including but not limited to target marketing, production of brochures, flyers, presentations, seminars, webinars etc. both for the “retail brand” and the Lenovo Brand.
The Sales & Brand Champion is also expected to and will be evaluated on:
- Developing metrics to measure and ensure success of any marketing activities.
- Using social media to develop a Facebook following for “retail brand”
- Go to market responsibilities for both the Lenovo Brand and the “retail brand”
- Linking MBC website to Lenovo’s to update and customize
- Creating Social media presence
- CUSTOMER EDUCATION - The Sales & Brand Champion is expected to meet with customers both internal and external to educate them with regard to all aspects of the brand and its products, including new and existing products. Some of the duties involved in this aspect include:
- Product Demos to Customers (in-house and offsite)
- Training of staff (staff retention of training and sales content)
- Developing educational tools to be used to update customers and staff on new products or to promote existing products (presentations, brochures etc).
- Assist Sales Representatives to determine which products suit their customers using expert knowledge and target them using focused marketing tools ( demos, launches, brochures, events)
Individual Education- must be knowledgeable on all aspects of Lenovo brand and become the “ambassador” of the product , attend webinars and present that
Job Requirements:
EXPERIENCE- Have at least 2 – 3 years of proven Brand Management/Sales experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Management or Marketing or Business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Adobe CS 5.5 would be an asset
- Ability and willingness to travel
