Job Specification:

Duties & Responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Assigns and supervises duties and responsibilities given to junior staff members.
2. Assist in developing and implementing strategies for motivating staff.
3. Assess the staff’s performance on an ongoing basis and give feedback as necessary to improve weak areas or sustain good performance.
4. Ensure that all new staff are trained in all aspects of the retail department.
5. Ensure that items are priced appropriately, and price changes are promptly reflected.
6. Ensure stocks are properly displayed and shelves are replenished when necessary.
7. Resolves customer queries, and complaints and solicits customer feedback.
8. Ensure each area of the floor is properly staffed.
9. Ensure that good housekeeping practices are maintained at all times.
10. Observe all Occupational Safety and Health regulations as per company policy.

Requirements

• Diploma or Associate degree in Business Administration or related field
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar or related field;
• Experience in the construction or hardware industry will be an asset
• Certification in Customer Service will be an asset
• Certification in Health and Safety will be an asset
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
