Job Title: Manager, Geriatric Care Home

Job Description:
The Manager of a Geriatric Care Home oversees daily operations and ensures the delivery of high-quality care to elderly residents. This role involves managing staff, coordinating resident care, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
 
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:

• Supervise and support a team of care staff, including nurses, caregivers, and administrative personnel.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement staff training and professional development programs.

2. Resident Care:

• Ensure the delivery of personalized and compassionate care to all residents.
• Oversee care plans and coordinate with healthcare professionals to address medical and personal needs.
• Address resident and family concerns promptly and effectively.

3. Operational Oversight:

• Manage the care home’s budget, including expenses related to staffing, supplies, and maintenance.
• Ensure the care home meets all health and safety regulations and standards.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations related to geriatric care and ensure the care home adheres to these standards.
• Prepare for and manage inspections and audits.

5. Quality Improvement:

• Monitor and evaluate care quality and resident satisfaction.
• Implement improvement plans based on feedback and performance metrics.

6. Community Relations:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and community organizations.
• Represent the care home at community events and professional meetings.

7. Administrative Duties:

• Oversee the management of resident records and documentation.
• Coordinate with external agencies and healthcare providers as needed.

8. Emergency Management:

• Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures and protocols.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a geriatric or healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in elderly care.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

 
This role is crucial for ensuring the well-being and quality of life of our residents while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment for staff.

Our starting salary offer is $12,500 , with interval room for increase.

We are a hard working board of five women who are always on site lending assistance and helping in any way necessary .
