Job Description:

Job Summary

The Analyst, Economic and Research Development reports to the Policy and Planning Manager. The focus includes research into the economy, comparative advantage to competitors and requirements for developing strategic initiatives that drive business growth within the Republic thereby gaining a competitive advantage. He/She provides macroeconomic forecasts and works closely with the Corporate Planning Officer in order to build a case for investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuous research into the T&T economy and immediate competitors
• Research into other Countries’ operations with SEZA Organizations
• Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities
• Develops scenarios for varying investment outcomes including collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to effect seamless approach to investors
• Assists in preparation of Corporate Plans, including all relevant financial forecasting

Qualifications and Experience

1. Degree in Economics or equivalent.
2. Experience working within a major financial institution.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Knowledge of market trends and emerging technology
5. Ability to work cross- functionally with other teams
