JOB TITLE: Counter / Inside Sales Representative

 
JOB PURPOSE
Efficiently handling all Sales functions in a professional manner to obtain maximum sales while focusing on customer satisfaction. This includes but not limited to addressing walk-in traffic needs, email, telephone inquiries, sales related issues, and orders from customers regarding product portfolio. Willingness to learn and apply ongoing product training is a necessity.
 
 
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

The job is satisfactorily performed when: 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNCTIONAL:
  1. Customer Service
  2. Become versed in measurements (particularly Vernier caliper and related hand tools) to accurately identify / sell products.
  3. Use OEM charts and online resources to cross reference and identify correct application(s). 
  4. Assist the customers at the counter with their queries and at the same time and provide them with sound solutions.
  5. Determine the type of replacement parts required based on customer requests/description of malfunctions, inspecting old parts/pieces brought into the store, etc.
  6. Handles walk-ins, email, and telephone inquiries, issues, and fulfilling customer requests/orders
  7. Document potential loss of sales activities in benefit of future opportunities
  8. Assist with Stock Check Exercises / Inventory Control measures as assigned by Manager(s)
  9. Assist with receipt / transfer of stock  

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
  1. Communicate effectively with customers informing / educating them of product portfolio options
  2. Communicate with Managers, Sales Team, & Administrative staff on an ongoing basis  
 
QUALITY ASSURANCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE:
  1. Adhere to the Company’s quality & customer service standards and procedures.
  2. Keep yourself updated with the product inventory and its functionality.
 
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Oversee / supervise periodic stock counts.
  2. Customer satisfaction and complaint levels.
  3. Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
