UNITED BEARINGS AND EQUIPMENT AGENCIES LTD.JOB TITLE: Counter / Inside Sales Representative
JOB PURPOSEEfficiently handling all Sales functions in a professional manner to obtain maximum sales while focusing on customer satisfaction. This includes but not limited to addressing walk-in traffic needs, email, telephone inquiries, sales related issues, and orders from customers regarding product portfolio. Willingness to learn and apply ongoing product training is a necessity.
PERFORMANCE CRITERIAThe job is satisfactorily performed when:- Customers Satisfaction
- Sale of correct/applicable items within promised time frame(s) using tools / methods available
- Information regarding stock is effectively communicated amongst Procurement, Administrative, & Sales Departments
- Value Added Sales – Multi Brand Model / Solutions Provider
- Researching applicable item(s) / substitutes
- Teamwork & camaraderie in workplace
- Respectful & Courteous to staff and Customer base
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFUNCTIONAL:
- Customer Service
- Become versed in measurements (particularly Vernier caliper and related hand tools) to accurately identify / sell products.
- Use OEM charts and online resources to cross reference and identify correct application(s).
- Assist the customers at the counter with their queries and at the same time and provide them with sound solutions.
- Determine the type of replacement parts required based on customer requests/description of malfunctions, inspecting old parts/pieces brought into the store, etc.
- Handles walk-ins, email, and telephone inquiries, issues, and fulfilling customer requests/orders
- Document potential loss of sales activities in benefit of future opportunities
- Assist with Stock Check Exercises / Inventory Control measures as assigned by Manager(s)
- Assist with receipt / transfer of stock
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
- Communicate effectively with customers informing / educating them of product portfolio options
- Communicate with Managers, Sales Team, & Administrative staff on an ongoing basis
QUALITY ASSURANCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Adhere to the Company’s quality & customer service standards and procedures.
- Keep yourself updated with the product inventory and its functionality.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee / supervise periodic stock counts.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint levels.
- Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
Job Requirements:
Requirements- Knowledge of Vernier Caliper, MS Office, Office Computer and related Hardware
- One (1) year's Industrial Sales experience in hardware or parts store
