Job Description:
Job Title: Branch Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE:The Branch Manager is focused on enhancing branch sales performance while minimizing costs, and ensuring that customer service, warehouse/ distribution and other customer experience components work well to deliver a great customer value proposition. This position is based at the Sealots Branch.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage and execute activities to improve the day to day operations of the branch
- Ensure that items are adequately stocked and are priced competitively
- Supervise the Retail Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and Yard Supervisor directly- and their staff indirectly- in a manner that achieves the sales and customer satisfaction targets of the branch, while adhering to company policies
- Monitor the quality of customer service delivery and ensure that employees are maximizing opportunities to sell products
- Manage branch employee performance by coaching, motivating, counseling and disciplining employees; along with planning, monitoring and appraising job results to increase sales and ensure efficiency
- Recommend and implement ideas for promotions, and ensure that approved promotions are merchandised to the company’s standards
- Achieve pre-assigned budgets set after consultation with the Directors
- Make recommendations for improvement of all relevant departments’ and activities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the branch’s operations are efficiently managed. These stakeholders include Sales and Marketing, HR, Finance, Purchasing and Executive Management.
- Address higher level customer queries and complaints, in keeping with company policy with a view to retaining customers and enhancing their experience at the branch
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on established KPIs
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation
- Any other duties that are assigned by management as per job function
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or related qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ management/ supervisory experience in the retail/ FMCG industry
- Excellent customer service, leadership and collaboration skills
- Solid operational experience in managing inventory, warehouse and retail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Any other suitable combination of qualifications and experience
Job Requirements:
