Job Description:

Job Title: Quality Control Officer
 
The Quality Control Officer ensures that all products meet the highest quality and safety standards by monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and performing microbiological testing. This role involves maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, addressing quality issues, and driving continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Assurance and Process Monitoring:
    • Ensure all products consistently meet quality and food safety standards by monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and verifying compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements.
  2. Microbiological Testing and Environmental Monitoring:
    • Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, and production environments to detect pathogens or contaminants, ensuring sanitation protocols are effective and regulatory standards are met.
  3. Compliance and Documentation: 
    • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including test results and inspections, while ensuring adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP). Support internal and external audits to maintain certifications.
  4. Problem Resolution and Continuous Improvement:
    • Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, or test failures, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with production teams to improve processes and prevent recurrence. 
 
Requirements:
  1. BSc or Diploma in Quality Management, Food Safety, Food Microbiology or a related discipline
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in quality control or food safety.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
