Job Description:

Position Title: Courier

Department: Finance

Division: IT & Finance

Reports To: Senior Accountant

Division Head: Chief Financial Officer
 
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide general courier support for the IT & Finance, Supply Chain & Purchasing, and HR Departments using Company owned vehicles.


RESPONSIBILITES
  1. Deliver and/or collect Company documents/items ensuring accurate records of type of item/document, requestor, receiver and signatures confirming receipt of delivery.
  2. Deliver documents, cheques, petty cash and other items to relevant departments daily. 
  3. Conduct critical transactions for Company at various organizations including, but not limited to, attorneys, financial and government institutions.
  4. Collect cheques daily from customers across the country as guided by the Credit Control Officer. 
  5. Perform banking duties, e.g. deposit cheques, drop off wire transfers, change petty cash as required.
  6. Pay company bills, e.g. WASA, T&TEC, FLOW, BMOBILE etc as required. 
  7. Make timely payments to BIR (PAYE) and NIS, ensuring documents are stamped, dated and signed by the receiving Cashier.
  8. Make payments to Customs Brokers and any other required transactions for the Supply Chain Team. 
  9. Collect mail / packages from Company’s Post Office Bag #174 at TTPOST Tunapuna every two days (minimum twice each week).
  10. Transport employees, official visitors or other individuals as required, in a safe and responsible manner.
  11. Collect lunches daily or when required (as guided by the Receptionist).
  12. Assist other departments with general courier services when required. 
  13. Conduct daily routine vehicle checks such as oil and water, before leaving the compound and logging mileage and fuel amount on evenings; advise Supervisor for servicing of Company Pick-up every 5000km.
  14. Ensure the assigned vehicle is properly maintained, including, but not limited to, interior and exterior cleanliness, is in a safe condition prior to use, and report any damage or mechanical malfunctions. 
  15. Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly; maintain an excellent driving record, including continuous observation of all Driving Regulations.
  16. Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS). 
  17. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.
