Job Description:
POSITION TITLE: GROUP PROJECTS AND SALES MANAGER
POSITION REPORTS TO: GROUP COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
POSITION SUPERVISE: PROJECTS ADMINISTRATOR x 3, GUYANA AND SURINAME (OPERATIONAL)
OTHER REPORTING LINES: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Job Summary:The Projects and Sales Manager will oversee the successful execution of projects, drive sales growth, and manage a team to ensure the achievement of departmental goals. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong project management, sales, and people management skills to deliver results and foster a high-performing team culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage risks effectively.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project scope and requirements.
- Track project progress and prepare regular status reports for management and clients.
- Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Lead the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to adjust strategies as needed.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Set clear team goals and track performance against key metrics.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on objectives.
- Customer Focus:
- Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Continuously seek ways to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present sales and project performance reports to senior management.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Use insights to inform decision-making and optimize team performance.
- Prepare reports as needed on sales, sales strategies, AR and collections, forecasting sales revenues etc.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage budgets for projects and sales activities, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Sales, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of project management and related experience.
- Proven experience in project management and sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

HSE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESISL HSE Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the activities under their control comply demonstrably with local legislation and ISL standards.
- Demonstrate visible HSE leadership through personal example by frequent site visits, inspections, reviews and employee engagement on HSE issues.
- Approves and encourages the HSE Management System implementation.
- Provide adequate resources to meet the requirements of HSE policy, objectives and action plans.
- Support and encourage the HSE Management System implementation.
- Owners of HSE Improvement Projects.
- Approves HSE goals, targets and plans within their areas.
- Monitor the implementation of HSE plans and HSE performance.
- Involvement in high ranked incident investigations.
OSH Act Responsibilities:
