Job Description:

Job Title: Core Network Engineer

Location: Trinidad and Tobago

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Core Engineer to join our team in Suriname. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, deploying, and maintaining our core network infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring optimal network performance, reliability, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Network Architecture and Design: Develop comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for core network infrastructure. Conduct feasibility studies, capacity planning, and network optimization.
• Network Deployment and Implementation: Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of core network equipment according to project timelines and quality standards.
• Network Upgrades and Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, including software updates, hardware enhancements, and capacity expansions. Implement strategies to optimize network performance, reduce latency, and enhance user experience.
• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement robust network monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve network issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize service disruptions.
• Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to internal and external customers. Troubleshoot network-related problems, escalating issues as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and up-to-date network documentation. Generate regular performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of core communication technologies, including 3G and 4G.
• Proven experience in network design, deployment, and optimization.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English.
• Certifications in relevant wireless network technologies (e.g., Huawei HCIA/HCIP) are a plus.
