Job Description:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:  To receive, store and distribute merchandise in warehouse in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures for Warehouse Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
 

• Unload merchandise and store in warehouse in appropriate locations for easy retrieval in a safe and organized manner
• To ensure that damaged goods are placed in appropriate area for further evaluation and disposal
• Must ensure in accordance with Quality Control systems that no damaged goods are dispatched to customer unless otherwise instructed
• Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental procedures.
• Clean and maintain work areas up to acceptable standards
• Turn off and lock off equipment when not in use and ensure proper storage at close of business day.
• Must be able to lift materials between 20 to 45 kilograms without discomfort.
• Must wear all Safety equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, hardhats and gloves.
• Must comply with all company rules and regulations and Occupational Safety & Health Rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

 
 
    Qualification Requirements:      Education and/or Experience
 

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Must be able to communicate orally and of a reasonable and customary temperament to work with internal and external customers
• Must have good manual dexterity, hearing and seeing abilities and be able to lift, pull or push as necessary.
