Position Title: Team Lead – Retail Lending

Department: Retail Lending

Supervises: Retail Lending Officers/Cashier/BSA

Status: Permanent

Location: Port of Spain

JOB SUMMARY
The Team Lead, Retail Lending is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational needs of the department, motivating the lending team to achieve/exceed targets and monitoring the customer experience ensuring customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Salesforce Management
    • Execute and monitor the department’s sales strategy to ensure effective sales tactics and assigned targets are met/exceeded monthly, quarterly and annually
    • Organize and coordinate the unit’s coverage
    • Conduct regular performance audits, provide coaching, mentoring and training to Sales team
    • Track and document the performance levels of employees monthly, quarterly and annually
    • Implement performance improvement initiatives including corrective disciplinary action
    • Develop and execute training plans for new hires
    • Support Officers with complex applications, reviewing, assisting and negotiating with Risk Department where necessary
    • Assist with the preparation of Incentive payments
    • Monitor the cashier’s performance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
    • Ensure team members remain abreast of and adhere to all legal and regulatory compliance guidelines, MFGFC core values, policies, procedures and requirements
  2. Customer Experience
    • Develop a clear understanding of MFGFC’s products and services, analyzing market and industry trends, providing competitor analysis and advising on any opportunities for new revenue streams
    • Execute lending activities and cross-selling initiatives for client acquisition and retention
    • Promote all MFGFC products and services through campaigns, promotions and cross-selling initiatives
    • Manage customer complaints and ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution
    • Responsible for the Staff Loan Application process from generation and onboarding to final check
  3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Monitor the deficiency reports from Compliance, ensuring the Officers have minimal errors and recommend retraining where necessary
    • Cancelled and declined reporting, pipeline reports, attendance and punctuality reports and lead management and conversion reports
    • Set sales targets/expectations, manage the pipeline, analyze performance data and report on sales activities
