Position Objective:
To receive, store and distribute merchandise in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures for Yard Operations
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receives and stacks materials in a timely and efficient manner
• Unload merchandise and store in yard in appropriate locations for easy retrieval in a safe and organized manner
• Safely and efficiently load, unload incoming and outgoing materials on customers and company’s vehicles
• Secure all outgoing loads in an appropriate and safe stacking method
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Ensure loading areas are clear of any materials or obstacles
• Ensure that damaged goods are placed in an appropriate area for further evaluation and disposal
• Must ensure in accordance with Quality Control Systems that no damaged goods are dispatched to customers unless otherwise instructed
• Provide assistance from time to time when company’s vehicles are going on deliveries
• Clean and maintain work areas up to acceptable standards
• Must be able to lift materials
• Must wear all safety equipment which includes safety glasses, boots, safety vests, hardhats and gloves
• Observe all Occupational Safety and Health regulations as per company policy
• Any other duties that may be required.
