Position Title: Manager Human Resources
Department: CEBM
Reporting to Position #: CEO
DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVE- To make disciples of Christ; to produce men and women who have positive values that take them everywhere, ensuring that they optimize their talents and influence the society.
- To produce value-driven students, teachers and schools that positively influence the society.
- To support excellence defined by students performing at their best in all spheres.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
- To successfully develop and implement a Strategic Human Resource Plan that would build a high-performing team of qualified Principals, teaching, administrative and support staff characterized by a culture of continuous learning) across all Primary and Secondary schools governed by CEBM.
- To work together with the CEBM team to achieve the Catholic Education aspiration and goals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct HR Audits in our schools as necessary to develop a comprehensive, accurate and confidential Manpower database which subsequently must be kept current with reports provided each term for decision making.
- To develop and execute a ‘rolling’ 3-year Strategic H.R. Plan focusing on recruitment, teacher professional development and succession planning.
- Develop and manage a list of Subject Matter Experts to provide key services to the schools, including but not limited to, team building, mediation, IR, and competency design and HRIS effectiveness
- Continually review the HR policies, processes and procedures within the CEBM control and direct and coordinate activities to ensure :
- Recruitment is pro-active, effective and efficient resulting in a 80% match of applicants with the Archdiocese expectation of a “Catholic Teacher”.
- Selection and recommendations for Promotion of candidates, for leadership roles in our schools, (principals, vice-principals, senior teachers, department heads, deans) who meet the Archdiocese leadership criteria.
- Management of Records to support MOE’s Performance Management and Disciplinary Management Practices.
- An effective Employee Complaint Management System is instituted to effectively record and successfully address all employee complaints.
- Support and influence a Culture of Continuous Learning across the CEBM governed school network through the effective development and execution of Orientation Programmes; Professional Development programmes; Talent Management, Coaching and Mentoring Programmes.
- Develop and execute a Succession Plan with a focus on Principals, Vice-Principal, Head of Department, Dean, Senior Teacher and other leadership positions.
- Provides selected HR services to the CEO for the internal staff if the CEBM.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Qualifications
- At least a BSc. Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- A Masters degree will be an asset
Technical Skills
- Comfortable with office computer applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint etc, HRIS
Non-Technical Skills and Abilities
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Must display initiative and forward-thinking
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
- People oriented and results driven
Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Labour Laws and HR best practices
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with HR systems and databases
Experience
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other senior HR position
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
