Procurement/Shipping Logistics Officer.
About the role The Procurement/Shipping Logistics Officer will be responsible for the preparation and submission of purchase orders, planning, coordinating and overseeing the movement and storage of goods within a supply chain, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate the execution of foreign and local orders, movement of goods, including transportation from foreign and local suppliers to our warehousing facility.
- Transportation: Co-ordinate with transportation providers, negotiate shipping rates, and ensure timely delivery.
- Communication: Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise in the supply chain in an efficient and effective manner.
- Effective tracking of orders from the stage of order to shipment to ensure there are no delays.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in handling local and foreign procurement, including the logistics aspect involving the movement of goods.
- Post-secondary education (e.g. college diploma in a business field such as economics, logistics, supply chain management etc.)
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Requirements:
