We are an Engineering based company that has been in existence for over 23 years providing Engineered Solutions and Services to various Industries within Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.  We are seeking applicants to fill the position of a Procurement/Shipping Logistics Officer.
 
About the role   
The Procurement/Shipping Logistics Officer will be responsible for the preparation and submission of purchase orders, planning, coordinating and overseeing the movement and storage of goods within a supply chain, ensuring efficient and timely delivery. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate the execution of foreign and local orders, movement of goods, including transportation from foreign and local suppliers to our warehousing facility.
• Transportation: Co-ordinate with transportation providers, negotiate shipping rates, and ensure timely delivery. 
• Communication: Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. 
• Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise in the supply chain in an efficient and effective manner.
• Effective tracking of orders from the stage of order to shipment to ensure there are no delays.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years working experience in handling local and foreign procurement, including the logistics aspect involving the movement of goods.
• Post-secondary education (e.g. college diploma in a business field such as economics, logistics, supply chain management etc.)
• Strong organizational and planning skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure. 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
