Job Description:

Job Title: Investment Advisor

Description:
The incumbent is primarily responsible for attracting new business through the promotion of Sheppard’s prestructured investment solutions. This role involves ensuring that financial targets are met while providing exceptional service to clients and fostering long-term relationships.

Duties:
Sales Generation

1. Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
2. Effectively executes sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
3. Builds and maintains a strong sales pipeline by actively engaging prospects through cold calls, emails, and networking events to drive successful client conversions.

Marketing & Business Development

1. Conducts thorough market research to identify potential markets, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
2. Engages with prospective clients through various channels (cold calls, emails, and networking events) with the goal of converting prospects to clients.
3. Leads the promotion of the company’s investment solutions to prospective clients via different mediums, emphasizing benefits and alignment with client objectives.

Client Service & Administration

1. Proactively manages client relationships by delivering comprehensive information and addressing complex queries and concerns efficiently.
2. Nurtures relationships with clients that would promote the natural referral to friends and family members.
3. Performs all administrative and service delivery tasks for clients ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Reporting & Documentation

1. Monitors and analyses sales and performance data; providing regular reports on sales activities and progress to management.
2. Maintains working knowledge of company's technological platforms.
3. Performs other related duties as may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Proven knowledge of investment principles, financial markets, and product knowledge.
• Understanding of market trends, regulatory issues, and economic factors affecting the wealth management industry.
• Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in the performance of duties. 
• Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
• Ability to quickly interpret information and present arguments in a clear and reasoned way.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ proven investment sales experience in the financial sector, with responsibility for business development.
• Possession of a reliable vehicle is required.
