JOB TITLE: LOANS OFFICER

JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal person is expected to liaise with the membership of SFCCU Credit Union through loan interviews, advice and financial counseling with the objective of providing prompt, efficient and courteous service to members and the public.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To market the Credit Union’s services and products
To become knowledgeable of all relevant procedures and systems of the Credit Union
To conduct interviews with loan applicants and document and process loan applications
To obtain all relevant security and collateral items prior to loan disbursement
To provide financial counseling to members
To maintain member files and loan documents in an orderly system
To assist in the recovery of delinquent loans
To follow-up loan inquiries as directed
To update member passbooks and payment records

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TRAINING

No less than five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance would be an asset.
Two to three years’ experience working in a similar position in a Credit Union or financial institution, with exposure to lending
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate in a computerized environment
Knowledge of Emortelle 8.1 software would be an asset
Any combination of qualifications and experience in a related field

Job Requirements:
