POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for soliciting new business and maintaining existing assigned portfolio, by providing all aspects of full time broking services to clients/prospective clients. To maintain customer service excellence and ensure that clients are fully aware of the nature and extent of risk and that the exposures identified are adequately insured. Attend to queries and serve client needs.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Electronic Filing
- Accurately store client information (policies, correspondence, invoices, overseas broker placement slips etc) in a timely manner, both electronically and in the physical file in accordance with the Company’s Document Management Policy
- Store Annual Servicing Reports and Client Meeting Notes timely in the designated client folder on the Corporate Server.
Client Service / Renewal Process
- Administer assigned portfolio of clients following up on renewal of policies, to maintain existing business and generate new business (cross selling). Vets and dispatches/delivers Worksheets/Renewal Information Requests to clients. Monitors and reviews clients' insurance programs to identify any changes in risk levels.
- Verify and dispatch policy documentation from insurers, to clients/Financial Institutions.
- Prepares faxes, e-mails, verifies and/or actions correspondence.
- Prepares broker slips, and assists in analysis of same prior to preparation of Summary of Insurance for dispatch.
Premium Collection
- Responds promptly to and investigates fully, queries arising in relation to premium payments, to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Follow up with clients on payment of premiums in accordance with company’s credit policy. Report to monthly Debtors meeting.
Client / Insurer Visits
- Maintain and foster close working relationships with underwriters and claims handlers at all approved insurers.
- Ensure timely meeting are held to discuss queries/renewals/claims with all major clients.
Reporting
- Service Reporting and frequent client visits as per AIB's Service Excellence Standards.
- Report on new business opportunities and status on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit, on a timely basis, client Annual Servicing Reports
- Prepare and submit, on a timely basis, client Meeting Notes
- Prepare and submit, on a timely basis, fully updated debtors listing.
- Prepare and submit, on a timely basis, the monthly performance dashboard.
Financial
- Solicit referrals, make cold calls and visits to prospective corporate and related individual clients in order to secure existing and new business. Assesses clients' needs and negotiates competitive quotations/terms and assists in completion of proposal/quotation form.
- Achieve monthly and annual portfolio growth in accordance with the Company’s budget target.
General
- Investigate and monitor the negotiation of claims to ensure speedy resolution.
- Assists in preparation of tender documents.
- Investigate and monitor queries both internal & external to ensure speedy resolution.
- Accompany all third parties on client visits such as insurer surveyors, engineers, underwriters, adjusters.
- Perform additional duties of a similar nature from time to time.
- Provide guidance, mentoring and coaching of Account Executives and Account Assistants including monitoring of their work product to ensure that it is in line with AIB service standards.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- ACII or BSc. Risk Management and Insurance.
- Five (5) CXC/GCE O Levels.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years working experience in the Insurance industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Requirements:
