About WTL Engineered Solutions 
We are an Engineering based company that has been in existence for over 23 years providing Engineered Solutions and Services to various Industries within Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.  We are seeking applicants to fill the position of an Accounting Assistant/Payables who will be responsible for various accounting duties.
 
About the role   
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for providing various financial and administrative services in an effective and efficient manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and accounts payable. 
• Handling various financial transactions, such as processing payments and expense requests. 
• Reconciling bank statements with accounting records to ensure accuracy. 
• Payroll processing and related tasks. 
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports. 
• Providing general administrative support to the accounting team, such communicating with suppliers/sub-contractors, filing etc.
• Entering financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets. 
• Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Accounting Manager.  Must be able to multitask between other accounting duties not listed.

 
Experience and qualifications    

• Completed ACCA Level 1 or CAT
• Five (5) CXC O’Level passes (grades 1 and 2 only), including Math and English
• Minimum of five (5) years Accounts Payables and general accounting experience
• Proficiency in the use of Accounting Software (Quickbooks)
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
