Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the changeover of investment accounting from one system to another and the documentation of policies and procedures for the use of the new system.
 
 
KEY DUTIES  AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
This Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Implementation of the new accounting software in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean as well as other operations where the current system is used.
• Formal documentation and roll out of investment accounting procedures across all entities
• Training of staff in new systems and procedures.

 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education/ Experience:

• ACCA   Qualification   and   at   least   three   years’   experience  in  an accounting environment.
• Exposure to investment accounting will be an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving, numeracy and analytical skills.
• The ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
