Job Description:

Position: Technical Business Analyst – Data Migration (Contract)

Employment Type: Contract- 6 Months with the possibility fo extension

Project Overview:
A large-scale system replacement initiative is underway, involving the migration of critical data from legacy platforms to a new technology environment. To support this effort, a temporary Technical Business Analyst is needed to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and successful integration of data into the target system.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to gather and document data migration requirements.
Analyze and interpret legacy data structures and align them with the data model of the new system.
Support the planning, testing, and validation of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
Develop comprehensive data mapping documentation, transformation logic, and exception handling protocols.
Assist with the implementation of data quality checks, reconciliation processes, and post-migration validation activities.
Coordinate with project managers, developers, and QA teams to help ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, transformation logic, or integration challenges.
Facilitate working sessions and workshops to confirm data assumptions and communicate findings.

Qualifications/ Reuqirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
At least 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years involved in data migration or system replacement projects
