Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Jamaica)  

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on trucks, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with various mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment, and will have a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and battery checks.
• Inspect truck components including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms.
• Utilize tools and equipment such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, hoists, jacks, and welding gear while adhering to safety protocols.
• Diagnose malfunctions using devices like motor analyzers, chassis charts, and handheld computers.
• Test drive vehicles to identify issues and confirm successful repairs.
• Replace and repair parts such as bearings, gears, valves, and cooling/heating system components.
• Measure and monitor vehicle emissions to ensure compliance with standards.
• Inspect and verify part specifications to ensure alignment with factory standards.

Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in awkward or confined spaces

Preferred:

• Technical certification or degree in automotive or diesel mechanics
• Experience using diagnostic computers
• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
