Job Description:
The Junior Payroll Clerk provides administrative support in the preparation and processing of payroll. The role ensures accurate time reporting, employee enrolment, and compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Group Health & Life Plan support: Train and assist with the administration of the Group Health & Life Insurance Plan.
- Employee registration: Register new employees with the National Insurance Board (N.I.B) and Board of Inland Revenue (B.I.R) to obtain identification numbers.
- Time entry and verification: Accurately input and verify hours for Foreign, Local, and Taskpay payrolls in preparation for processing.
- Probation tracking: Monitor and track probation periods for employees on three-month contracts to ensure timely follow-up.
- Contract preparation: Prepare contracts for three-month contract employees in coordination with the HR Department.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Five (5) CXC passes inclusive of Maths and English.
- Diploma. in Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline will be an asset.
- At least three (3) years experience in Payroll environment.
- Familiar with relevant legislation, policies and regulations.
- Experience with Micropay software will be an asset.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
