Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the work of two Assistant Accountants
- Review and posting of investment and mortgage entries
- Review reconciliations of investment and mortgage schedules to the GL
- Preparation of investment notes and schedules to support the Group Reporting Packages
- Preparation of investment information for the quarterly and annual regulatory returns
- Preparation of standard monthly, quarterly and any ad hoc reports for management
- Preparation of monthly quarterly and annual accounts
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- A recognized accounting designation e.g. ACCA, CGA, CPA.
- At least three years post-qualification experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Literacy and proficiency in the use of various types of accounting and spreadsheet software.
- Must attain knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- A high level of interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- The ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
