Vacancy - Store Manager (ST. JAMES)

Job Summary
  • Work under minimum supervision
  • Effectively manage all office operations including the showroom and store.
Professional Skills: 

Demonstrate a working knowledge of:
  • Principles and practices of sales 
  • Customer service standards and procedures 
  • Basic accounting procedures 
  • Microsoft office, RMS, using the internet and emails
  • Telephone/office etiquette 

CORE FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise office staff to ensure that the company rules and policies are being maintained
  • maintain petty cash float and its disbursement 
  • ensure accurate and timely transfer of stock between branches with relevant data entry 
  • Prepare all requisite paperwork (warranty invoices, time sheets, letters, and memorandums)
  • Maintain files for all insurance, vehicles, office fixtures, and furnishings
  • Ensure that all relevant employee forms are filled out for: accidents, insurance, casual, sick, bereavement, and vacation leave
  • Maintain printed price listings 

PURCHASING:
  1. Order all locally acquired inventory:
           a) Stock for sale
           b) Material for office and job installations
  • Order all stationery, office and kitchen supplies

STORE OPERATION
  • Oversee the cashier and ensure that he/she adheres to the company billing procedures, ensuring accurate and accountability
  • Ensure that the shelves are stocked with products at all times
  • Ensure efficient stock control
  • Ensure that all products ​displayed have correct pricing, are properly labeled and , are in sync with all branches 
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, prices, orders, deliveries, product advice, and recommendations
  • Prepare, examine and approve customer invoices on the company accounting system and payment methods as necessary
  • Prepare daily deposits in an accurate and timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree in Business Management studies or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail customer service environment.
  • Must own a vehicle.
  • A combination of suitable qualifications/experience would also be considered.
