Position summary:
Security Officers safeguard assigned areas by diligently monitoring premises, swiftly responding to emergencies, and meticulously documenting all on-site incidents. Their role will be crucial in detecting and preventing suspicious activities, theft, and vandalism. We seek vigilant and capable Security Officers to complete the specific duties based on the requirements of each respective client.
Common responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- All security related duties.
- Securing the perimeter
- Stop and search of vehicles entering and exiting the compound.
- Ensuring all contractor employees park in the contractors parking lot
- Ensuring that no vehicle blocks the free passage of other vehicles.
- Ensuring that all employees are correctly logged into the facility by using the swipe card.
- Ensure that all visitors to the facility are properly booked in by issuing a visitor’s pass after receiving a government issued identification card.
- Ensuring the safety of vehicles parked in the parking lots by routinely patrolling the areas.
- Ensuring that no unauthorized person remains on the compound.
- Any employee or contractor employee appearing intoxicated or smelling of alcohol is to be immediately escorted out of the parking lot.
- Any physical altercation observed on the compound is to be reported immediately.
- Any vehicle observed with physical damage is to be noted in the Post Diary upon entry at the location.
- Persons are to be logged out and properly logged back in when work resumes.
- Participate in all toolbox meetings.
- Abide by all MIU and Client Company Policies
- Submitting to random drug tests
- Performing all other related duties as instructed by Site Supervisor or designated MIU personnel.
