JOB OVERVIEW
The System Support Analyst is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the organization’s Information Systems with a view to ensuring confidence and integrity of the data residing therein. He/ She is also required to implement effective controls & monitor the daily activities within the systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.System Configuration and Maintenance.
- Configure and maintain administration systems (Administrative System, Real Time Adjudication System and Workflow Management System) as requested by the relevant business unit/s.
- Develop and implement quality controls within the administrative systems
- Manage and update tables within respective systems.
- Manage technical queries regarding the respective systems in relation to claim payments, billings, user access and any other related queries.
- Identify gaps and defects in system configurations, complete root cause analysis and recommend appropriate corrections.
2.Reporting - Design and Maintenance
- Ensure that there is comprehensive knowledge of how the information assets within our systems are stored and be able to extract them for general reporting and to effectively answer business questions.
- Design and create reports within respective systems as required by the business units.
- Perform troubleshooting activities for report related queries.
3.Business Efficiency and Innovation
- Define process, procedures and schedules of maintenance for systems within the department’s control to ensure optimum availability and reliability.
- Develop procedures and scripts to automate existing business processes and make them more efficient.
4.Technical support
- Provide technical support to the business to resolve customer queries and issues.
- Analyze programming problems to determine if they are the result of user error or programming logic and resolve accordingly.
5.Management of Testing Activities
- Manage testing of new system features to ensure compliance with business requirements.
- Identify and prepare appropriate test environments.
- Conduct user acceptance and regression testing as needed.
- Monitor system logs and reports to ensure user compliance with established procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 5 C.X.C/CSEC passes including Mathematics and English Language
- 2 A’ Level/CAPE passes
- A first degree in Information Technology. Computer Science or a related field from a recognized Tertiary educational institution.
- Experience in Information Systems Development Life Cycle and its various components which include, but not limited to, Process, and Systems Design, programming, testing and deployment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
- As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
The Application Support Analyst should be result oriented and forward thinking with a keen eye for detail. The individual must have excellent communication skills and able to work within tight deadlines. He/She is by nature a logical thinker and problem solver and must be extremely knowledgeable in the operations of the business. The individual must be a good listener and in turn be articulate and descriptive when communicating with others.
