JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Investment Advisor acquires and manages Corporate and High Net-worth Individual (‘HNWI’) for upper percentile (companies and individual with investable balances of ≥TT$500K) utilizing GAMISL suite of Mutual Funds and upselling to Private Wealth and Merchant Bank. He/she will offer professional and expert investment advice by thorough understanding of the company’s products and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Proactively engage with High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), corporate executives, and businesses to acquire and maintain a robust client portfolio, leveraging GAMISL’s suite of mutual funds and investment solutions.
- Portfolio Review and Advisory Services: Conduct regular portfolio reviews and provide expert investment advice tailored to clients’ financial goals, ensuring client satisfaction with investment performance and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to deliver informed advice and adapt to changing investment landscapes.
- Referral and Upselling Opportunities: Develop a network of referrals and Centers of Influence (COIs) to identify and capitalize on opportunities to upsell GAMISL’s Private Wealth and Merchant Bank services.
- Client Retention and Performance Monitoring: Monitor client portfolios to preempt redemptions, ensure satisfaction, and maintain strong relationships for long-term retention and growth.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A First Degree from a recognized tertiary educational institution preferably in Finance or finance related.
- Certified Financial Planner (CEP)
- 5 Years’ experience in Financial Services Environment
- 3 years proven sales track record of providing financial Solutions to Corporate and HNWIs
- Sound Knowledge of financial planning, Investment products and services
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The Senior Investment Advisor must be extremely professional, articulate, knowledgeable, self-motivated, confident and driven to succeed in a competitive environment. Must demonstrate integrity and trustworthiness, be well organized with the ability to manage time effectively, have superior listening skills and excellent communication and presentation skills. While able to function independently, the Senior Investment Advisor must be comfortable working as part of a team when required to do so, and should be forward thinking in approach, collaborative and team oriented with a strong work ethic.
