Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver and maintain realistic and consistent project plans and schedules reflecting the assessed risks for a flagship offshore project in Trinidad and support the safe and efficient execution of the project.

To contribute to delivery and maintenance of Quantity Surveying and Project Controls deliverables to the safe and successful execution of a flagship offshore project in Trinidad. The successful candidate will be based in Trinidad fabrication yard/site location(s).

Accountabilities:
HSSE:
  • Demonstrate commitment to HSSE and show leadership that fosters appropriate behaviors while ensuring compliance with HSSE rules and policies.
Progress Monitoring:
  • Responsible for tracking, verifying and reporting of physical progress of site Fabrication and Commissioning & Start-up (CSU) activities on behalf of Company.
  • Measure, evaluate and assess progress on construction sites activities.
  • Assess Contractor performance and progress against approved schedule, identify slippages with reasons.
  • Provide necessary support to Company Construction team in verifying claimed progress and forecasts.
  • Liaise with central Project Services and Contracts team and provide all supporting documentation for processing claims/back charges.
  • Participate in Post Award Contract Management and Contractor Performance Management for Execute phases.
Forecasting:
  • Monitor and report movements against the approved Schedule, plus analyzing and forecasting Key Milestone dates and physical quantities-to-go.
  • Provide inputs on the latest forecast dates for incorporation into the Company integrated schedule reporting.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project schedule and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Validating schedule critical path and advising correction/recovery actions as necessary.
Reporting:
  • Implement progress measurement, periodic schedule and progress reporting.
  • Providing support in updating and maintaining of Company integrated Primavera schedule(s).
  • Provide inputs and contribute to Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) if needed.
  • Develop and maintain schedule progress reports at site including progress trend analysis, Performance KPIs, and Trend Based Forecasting.
  • Report construction progress in terms of progress % complete, systems and quantities installed.
  • Provide timely and accurate progress data at the relevant cut-off period.
  • Review reports issued by contractor and highlight any red flags jointly with Company management team.
  • Review contractors progress reports to ensure accuracy of progress updates.
Advanced Work Packaging (AWP):
  • Support Advanced Work Packaging, Work Face Planning, System-based CSU planning and monitoring.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Quantity Surveying/ Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Quantity Surveyor or Construction Planning.
  • Minimum 12 years industry experience in site-based QS/Project Controls/Planning positions.
  • Project execution experience (including fabrication yard site-based) from major upstream or integrated gas projects are preferred.
  • Fully versed with using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong in communications, consensus building across diverse teams, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills to develop trust and credibility among varied interfaces.
  • Team player comfortable with handling high workloads and balancing multiple priorities and complex stakeholder interactions in a collaborative way.

Dimensions:
  • This role will be based in Trinidad fabrication yard/site location(s).
  • Complex environment to deliver with multiple locations of both the Company team and EPC contractors.
  • Self-empowered, independent delivery and balancing multiple priorities and complex stakeholder interactions.
