JOB PURPOSE
The Office Attendant’s role is to manage the day-to-day custodial duties of the Central Support Unit and the Warehouse. The incumbent must display exceptional levels of Customer Service and must be a team player. This role requires the candidate to be Accountable, Caring & Trustworthy which 7aligns to our core values.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RECEPTION AREA:
- Ensure the reception area is cleaned daily, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping glass and door.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
CEO’s OFFICE:
- Ensure the CEO’s office is cleaned daily, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping glass and door.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
LUNCHROOM:
- Ensure the Lunchroom is cleaned daily, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping glass and door.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
- Clean Refrigerator on a weekly basis.
- Clean microwave ovens on a weekly basis.
- Manage the tea supplies to ensure items are not depleted.
- Complete stock order requisition forms on a weekly basis and submit them to the HR department for ordering.
BATHROOMS:
- Ensure the Bathrooms are cleaned daily including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping glass and cleaning of the water closets.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
- Manage the tissue and soap supplies to ensure items are not depleted.
- Complete stock order requisition forms on a weekly basis and submit them to the HR department for ordering.
MEETING ROOMS:
- Ensure the meeting rooms are cleaned daily, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping and wiping tables.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
- Maintain dishes including but not limited to, plates, cutlery, cups.
- Manage the tea supplies to ensure items are not depleted.
- Complete stock order requisition forms on a weekly basis and submit them to the HR department for ordering.
CSU OFFICE SPACES:
- Ensure spaces are cleaned daily, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping glass and door.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
WAREHOUSE:
- Ensure the Warehouse Lunchroom is cleaned daily, including but not limited to sweeping, moping, wiping tables and countertops.
- Ensure bins are emptied daily.
- Clean Refrigerator on a weekly basis.
- Clean microwave ovens on a weekly basis.
- Manage the tea supplies to ensure items are not depleted.
- Complete stock order requisition forms on a weekly basis and submit them to the HR department for ordering.
OTHER:
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Five CXC passes inclusive of Mathematics & English A.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
SKILLSET REQUIRED
- Computer Literacy
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Strong interest in helping deliver exceptional and consistent customer service.
- Resilient, with ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.
- Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions.
- Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heights.
- Must be able to pull, push and lift sometimes awkward objects weighing 20 lbs.
