Job Summary
A reputable shipping firm located in El Socorro, Trinidad & Tobago is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable Accounts Clerk to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with bookkeeping and administrative duties. The ideal candidate should be organized, capable of working independently, and committed to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial and accounting records.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end reporting.
  • Enter and maintain accounting data in Sage 50 Accounting Software.
  • Prepare financial documents and reports as required.
  • Assist with filing, record keeping, and general administrative duties.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.
  • Support the accounting team with other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounting Software.
  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role will be considered an asset.
